The first-person action kicks off with D-day and a parachute drop through a hail of metal pieces. Spearheads missions bother little with plot  instead opting for the same measured yet frantic gameplay that earned the game an expansion pack in the first place. Thus  theres first-person action  tanks  and simple issues like survival to consider once more.In the enhancements column  you certainly feel more a part of a squad this time  with colleagues ready to stand alongside you in adventure theme. The ability to lean is incorporeviewed into the single player game for the first time  which helps combat the previously overpowerful snipers. Little tweaks here and there tighten things up  and theres a few more tools thrown in too. Pretty much what youd expect from an expansion pack.On the multiplayer side  a dozen new maps are included  ranging from tight  tense levels  to more open adventure themes. They seem slightly larger than before too  and as with the single-player levels  theyre enjoyable and challenging. One problem  though  is the length of the single-player mission  which is notably shorter than that of the original game. Whats there is great  theres simply not enough of it.Nonetheless  with the various tweaks taken into account  Spearhead undoubtedly improves and prolongs the original  and boasts the same high production values.
